Bore not only the same name but the some kunya (designation) as the Prophet: Abu’l-Qásim; according to Shí‘ahs only the Prophet may bear these two names together. Shí‘ahs hold he did not die, but disappeared and would return.

Imámeh-momPrayer leader, not to be confused with the Twelve Imáms.

Imám, HiddenPromised One of Shí‘ah Islám, the 12th Imám who is to reappear at the time of the end and fill all the earth with justice. Fulfilled by the Báb, 1844, (1260 A.H.), exactly one thousand years after the death of the 12th Imám.

Imám-Jum‘iheh-mom-jum-ehChief of the mullás, who recites the Friday prayers for the sovereign.
