Dear Mr. President:
On behalf of the American Bahá'í community and on my
own I thank you and Mrs. Clinton for your thoughtful letter, expressing
sympathy on the occasion of the passing of Madame Rabbani.
She had, indeed, as you have so accurately noted, made extraordinary
contributions to the development of the Bahá'í Faith and won the
hearts of its adherents throughout the world. A New Yorker by birth,
Canadian by upbringing, world citizen by choice and conviction, she lived
her ideals and left a rich heritage to future generations.
Permit me once again to thank you and Mrs. Clinton for your kind words.
With high regard and best wishes,
Firuz Kazemzadeh
