Dear friends

We are very happy to share with you the text of a message of greetings to the UK Bahá'í community for Naw-Ruz from the Prime Minister. You are, of course, free to share this with your Bahá'í community, with your friends and contacts, and to use it in any media publicity you are seeking for your Naw-Ruz activities.

With loving Bahá¹í greetings

Barney Leith, Secretary
National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of the UK

TEXT OF MESSAGE FROM THE PRIME MINISTER, 10 DOWNING STREET, LONDON

The festival of Naw-Ruz is an important occasion in the Baha'I calendar and is a time both for celebration and reflection. The emphasis the Bahá'í community places on the importance of interfaith activities and tackling prejudice and bigotry demonstrates its commitment to the principle of equality for all - a conviction which is shared and actively pursued by this Government.

With all good wishes at this special time

[SIGNED] Tony Blair
