Bahai gardens honored with stamp

A NIS 3 stamp to mark the opening of the $250 million Bahai gardens on Haifa's Mount Carmel in Haifa has been issued by the Postal Authority's Philatelic Services. Designed by Moshe Pereg, the eye-catching stamp is also available as part of a NIS 3.90 first-day cover envelope. The stamp shows the Terraces of the Shrine of Bab looking up, while th envelope design shows the shrine looking down towards the Mediterranean. Judy Siegel
