Despite the differences among the world's religions, there's one common
element: prayer. For an eye-opening look at prayers of most of the world's
religions, check out "World Prayers."
The site is a project of a multicultural, ecumenical prayer collective that
is attempting to gather the great prayers from spiritual traditions around
the world into a common archive for the purpose of inspiration, study and
cross-cultural appreciation.
Included: African tribal, Asatru, Baha'i, Buddhism, Celtic, Christianity,
Confucianism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Native American, Sufism, Taoism and
Zoroastrianism.
You can search a prayer based on religion, author, source, key words or
phrases.

And then there's the joyful noise. Gather 'round the computer and sing along
to hundreds of old-timey Christian hymns in your choice of organ, piano or
bells. The lyrics are provided.

The lyrical 'Simpsons'
Speaking of lyrics, here's a site that provides lyrics for the many original
songs in "The Simpsons." Like the jingle for the "Canyonero" SUV. (Hum it
next time you're driving Ga. 400 at rush hour.) Excerpts:
Can you name the truck with four-wheel drive,
Smells like a steak and seats 35.
Canyonero! Canyonero!
Twelve yards long, two lanes wide,
65 tons of American pride!
Canyonero! Canyonero!
She blinds everybody with her super high beams,
She's a squirrel-crushing, deer-smacking driving machine!

Plant a tree, cure cancer
With all that praying and singing while you surf, maybe you'd like to throw
in a good deed. Check out one of several free "donation" sites that
contribute money for charity each time someone clicks on the site and views
some ads.
