NORTHWEST - Bahai's discuss future plans

MEMBERS of the Bahai faith from Omagh, Coleraine and Derry held their annual convention in the city.

This was one of five meetings which took place across Northern Ireland.

The aim of the gathering was to discuss the work of their community and develop plans for the future, as well as electing the delegate who will represent the area at the UK national Bahai Convention taking place in Wales next April.

Dr Iain Palin, from Derry, was elected a delegate for the coming year.

He said "It is a great honour and responsibility to speak for the North West at the national gathering.
