 Ambassador of Israel and his wife are received by The National Spiritual Assembly
of the Baha'is of Brazil
The National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Brazil received Ambassador of Israel in a reception on December 11th 2002.
Dr. Daniel Gazit, Ambassador of Israel in Brazil along with his wife Mrs. Michelle Gazit met with three members of the
National Spiritual Assembly of the Baha'is of Brazil in the National Baha'i Center in Brasilia (DF). Three members of the
National Spiritual Assembly, Mrs. Venus Pezeshk, Mr. Iradj Eghrari and Mr. Washington Araujo along with a number of other
invited guests discussed a number of issues. Also present were Mr. Said Akhavan and his wife Mrs. Behrokh Akhavan, the
Diplomatic Bahá'í Coordination in Brazil and Dr. Maria Claudia Drummond.
Mr. Gazit was familiar with the Baha'i Faith and has visited the Baha'i Holy Places in Haifa and 'Akka in the recent past.
Mr. Gazit represented the Government of Israel at the solemn ceremony at the Brazilian Ministry of Justice, a year ago,
marking the inauguration of the Terraces on Mount Carmel. The authorities and a number of Baha'is who were specially invited
for this momentous event were addressed by Mr. Gazit, which was televised by the Federal Chamber Television to the nation.

Embaixador e Embaixatriz do Estado de Israel no Brasil são recepcionados pela Assembléia Espiritual Nacional
A Assembéia Espiritual Nacional dos Bahá’ís do Brasil recepcionou no dia 11 de dezembro de 2002, às 20 horas, na Sede Nacional
Bahá’í o Senhor Embaixador do Estado de Israel no Brasil, o Sr. Daniel Gazit e sua esposa, a embaixatriz Michelle Gazit.
Participaram da recepção três membros da Assembléia Nacional, o casal Sr. Said Akhavan e Sra. Behrokh Akhavan, que respondem pela
Coordenação Diplomática da Assembléia Nacional, a Dra. Maria Cláudia Drummond. O Senhor Embaixador, diplomata com graduação em História
pela Universidade Hebraica de Jerusalém. Ele conhece os Lugares Sagrados Bahá’ís em Haifa e a Prisão de ‘Akká e demonstrou um
bom nível de conhecimento sobre a história da Fé Bahá’í. O Sr. Gazit representou o seu país na cerimônia de transmissão da
inauguração dos Patamares sobre o Monte Carmelo, ocorrida no Salão Nobre do Ministério da Justiça e televisionada pela TV CÂMARA, em 22
de maio de 2001, ocasião em que fez uso da palavra.
