I'm visiting Vancouver soon to find a place. I just found a site for the West End and English Bay, englishbay.com. It's got a great "Vancouver Hotels and Lodging Accommodations guide" at englishbay.com/lodging. It showed me the hotels and inns, plus hostels, motels and Bed and Breakfasts (B & Bs). It was arranged by geography, i.e. district and neighborhood: West End and English Bay, Davie Village (the funky gay district), the airport (Vancouver's airport is often rated North America's nicest), downtown, Yale Town, and the ferry and Cruise Ship docks. Check it out, it's a nice site and a beautiful, tourist city to visit.
