Hi Morgan,

Iâm saying a very simple thing:
A-Bahaâuâllah was a great man.
B-Bahaâuâllah had factual errors.
C-Since he made factual mistakes, he canât be Godâs prophet because he is not infallible.

ă "EVERY fixed star..." so this is a collective reference to all solar systems to open the statement.ä ö But itâs not what Bahaâuâllah is saying: ăKnow thou that every fixed star hath its own planets, and EVERY PLANET ITS OWN CREATURES, whose number no man can compute.ä Why do you think that John Taylor wrote an article about this verse? http://bahai-library.org/essays/breakthrough.html

ăThus it is clear that Baha'u'llah is quoting historians.ä ö Iâd expect from the Manifestation of God to quote correct sources·

ăOk then, so does that make Him a liar?ä ö No, that doesnât. He had a mystical experience in Syah Chal, which convinced him that he was the One Whom God shall make manifest. This of course doesnât mean that he was a madman.

ăBaha'is being fired from cannons, forced ot eat their own ears and eyes, beaten and branded.ä ö You are right. But what does it prove? It only proves that they believe in Bahaâuâllah and were ready to sacrifice their lives for him. Their faith doesnât make Bahaâuâllah a prophet.

ăAhh, the Torah. Yes - Baha'u'llah did say it was the word of God. I see no problem here.ä ö I do. Modern academic study of the Bible shows that Moses didnât write the Torah. Different scribes wrote it in different times. Only later these sources were assembled into one book.

ăDear friend - I see Baha'u'llah's message affecting the world·ä ö How did HIS MESSAGE affect the world? The world has changed ö OK. It is maybe unconsciously adopting the principles of Bahaâuâllah ö OK. Thatâs exactly why I appreciate Bahaâuâllah so much and think that he was a great thinker. But as I stated above, he couldnât be Godâs prophet.

Take care,
David
