I've asked Dr. Iraj Ayman for assistance on this, and he sent me the following. -Jonah
Sorry for the delay. I was searching to see what may I find. According to the sources available to me the situation is as follows:From the 18 Letters of the Living three of them had a rather regretful ending:
- Mirza Muhammad Rowzih Khan Yazdi joined Haji Muhammad Karim Khan Kirmani in order to save his life. However privately he continued to teach Babis and those whom he could trust on the Bab's teaching.
- Mirza Hadi Qazvini removed himself from among the known and active believers and was not considered one of the believers.
- Mulla Hassan Bajistani left the Faith and returned to be a Muslim
So we can say that these three Letters of the Living did not stand firm in the covenant of the Bab and while alive during the time of Baha'u'llah did not accept Him as the expected Manifestation. If I run into more information I shall communicate to you in due course.
Iraj
