Hi. I understand that the convenant between god and man is that man will live to learn about god. So what exactly do you have to do to become a covenant breaker?

In my opinion, there is no such thing. Because GOD manifests itself in everyone, and all of our experiences positive or negative, helps GOD to learn about itself. God learns about itself by breaking up into little peices and having those little peices interact. So no matter how you live your life, you are learning, discovering yourself and GOD.

Now, separation (disharmoney also known as evil) is a tool by which we can pretend that we are not one whole. There are two opposing forces in the world. Harmony, and disharmony. Harmoney is holy, and disharmoney, though it has a purpose, is evil.

That said, are covenent-breakers those who promote disharmoney? Or are they simply people who believe differentely?

I don't agree with the Baha'i practice of disassociation with covenant breakers. People should always ask questions, especially of their own faith. Restricting what people can read and who they can associate with is only and nothing other than an attempt to control them. I understad that people may be influenced by the dishormony and may even start promoting disharmony themselves, but that's a choice which should be left to them. Denying them exposure to things is denying them choice. And most of the time when this happens, it's used to trap people into a tyranic system.

People should be free to evaluate everything for themselves. If you are afraid that they will not be able to make the right choise, then teach them what harmony and disharmony is. Harmonous are things that bring all people and nature together. Disharmonous things oppress and cause wider separations between people, nature, and GOD.

Casting people away because of their lifestyle, belief, or expression is not harmonous and has no place in Baha'i law.
