I'm sorry for the delay in answering. Interpretations of the Judaic and Biblical writings by Abdu'l-Baha and Shoghi Effendi both affirm the revelatory validity of the Bible but also agree with historians of religion that Moses did not literally write the Torah. Here are a couple excerpts from http://bahai-library.org/uhj/holy.scriptures.html:
- "...the Torah that God hath confirmed consists of the exact words that streamed forth at the bidding of God from the tongue of Him Who conversed with Him (Moses)."
ΚΚΚ (From a recently translated Tablet of Baha'u'llah) - "Know ye that the Torah is that which was revealed in the Tablets to Moses, may peace be upon Him, or that to which He was bidden. But the stories are historical narratives and were written after Moses, may peace be upon Him.
ΚΚΚ (From a recently translated Tablet of 'Abdu'l-Baha)
I have seen an even clearer statement on the topic, but at the moment I can't find it. Perhaps a search at http://bahai-library.org/search for some key words would help narrow it down.-Jonah
