I have a friend who is openly gay. When we became friends he told me he was monogamous and did not do any bizarre or perverse sexual acts. I believed him. He is not a Bahai. Over the years he has been to my home and we have been "good" friends. I recently discovered that he is promiscuous, performs masturbation over the web with men using a webcam, and has many lovers, each of whom believes they are the only one, as well as casual lovers one-time which is common in the gay community. There are other aspects of his gay activity not worth mentioning at this time. My wife, learning of these aspects of his gay life, was revolted, as a person and as a Bahai. I, myself, became ethically revolted less by actions than by his lies. Together, we told him he is no longer welcome in our home, reasons emotional. Did my wife make a mistake in saying that she has been a Bahai for years and she also will not allow him in the home for Bahai reasons? This is the question and I would be grateful for any serious answer.
