There was a National Assembly first formed in 1980, and, to the best of my knowledge, it had to be dissolved in 1982 due to the Soviet-Afghani war. The NSA hasn't been reconstituted as yet. I understand there were several hundred Baha'is in Afghanistan, many Persian pioneers... or so my memory serves me from those I had asked about this when in Iran in 1978.
