The Kitáb-i-Aqdas (elucidated by its Questions and Answers, codification, and notes) indicate to my understanding the following:

One is exempted if travelling over 9 hours (or 2 hours on foot), unless and until:
a) they arrive home during the Fast or
b) they arrive somewhere they are to stay at least 19 days
(in this case they are exempt for (only) the first 3 days at
this place).
If they are to stay less than 19 days, travellers may fast if they wish but are exempt during the whole period of their travel (not just in the vehicle) (except if and when they arrive somewhere they are to stay at least 19 daysösee (b) above or if they arrive home (see (a) above)).

A letter on behalf of the Guardian states, "He (the Guardian) feels that if you consider it too much of a strain to keep the Fast you should not do so. Bahá'u'lláh has exempted people who are travellers at the time; if you could keep it the days you are not travelling, and thus partake of its bounty, it would be advisable, but it is not essential." (Unfolding Destiny, p. 457)

A little late for now perhaps, but maybe next year... :)
