Dear Stu,

I feel where you're coming from and I sympathise with any pain you might have experienced on your journey. I really don't think of us as opposites though. One of the main themes of the Faith is the ultimate elimination of inordinate distinctions between people based on capacities. I'm sure your IQ is a lot higher than mine. Mine is a little above average and more left brain oriented, but our worth and purpose is not contingent upon intelligence or emotion. I think there has to be a balance between both. At least I can hold my head high in knowing that, although my intelligence may not be as high as some other people, I never used what God-given intelligence I have to hurt anyone intentionally. If you feel that you are more intellectual than emotional than you can purify your intellect with gentelness of speech and love for humanity and by the purification of my own heart I can tune into what is true and cling to it. There will always be classes in society because society requires people of different capacities to function properly, but we should never let these things blind us to our spiritual unity. I am really ashamed for the people who have ridiculed me, or who ridicule anyone on this site for that matter. If the mark of intelligence is rationality, then, by way of the negative emotional response cloaked in the guise of reason, these people have exposed themselves as being the exact opposite as what they claim to promote and words without the fruitful spirit to back it up are nothing. This exposure is even clearer when you notice how the posts concerning this topic are now anon. At least this shows that whoever it is is decent enough to feel shame. I hope to God and I pray that these individuals are not Baha'is. No matter who they are I feel really sorry for them. The reason I am telling you all of this is because we can be better than that. I'll definitely learn from this to be more careful about talking about things in terms that I know less about than another person, but I don't think it's necessary to respond any further to those things. Whoever is of that mind will get their shameful enjoyment out of it and I will stand firm and steadfast in my love for all people. Thanks again Su and let's just keep on tryin.
