Irfán 2002:
A Learning Experience and a Stimulating Forum
October 11-14 2002
Louhelen Baha'i School
The `Irfan Colloquium and Seminar are annual opportunities for those interested in the study of Baha'i Writings and basic principles of the Baha'i Faith. They are learning experiences and provide a stimulating forum for dialogue and exchange of information and opinions. The Colloquium and Seminar convene at the Louhelen Baha'i School in two concurrent sessions, one in English and one in Persian.
The main theme of the Colloquium this year is the Writings of the Bab and Abdu'l-Baha, and will include presentation and discussion of numerous research papers. Presentations on the Writings of Baha'u'llah and on the Baha'i theology will also be welcomed.
There will be a special seminar on the Qayyumu'l-Asma conducted by Dr. Todd Lawson. Other confirmed presenters include Dr. Mehri Afnan, Dr. Muhammad Afnan, Dr. Muin Afnani, Vahid Brown, Behrooz Jabbari, Dr. Ruhullah Khoshbin, Parivash Samadari-Khoshbin, Dr. Ian Kluge, Dr. Stephen Lambden, William McCants, Habib Riazati, and Kina Saadat. There will be a simultaneous session in Persian. Participants will receive a set of materials including a volume of selected papers, and a booklet of abstracts of the presentations.
The Louhelen School operates on a first-come first-served basis, and handles its own registration and reservations. Due to limitation of facilities at Louhelen early registration is necessary.
