Dear Stuart,

How about wrong but for the right reasons?
Of course according to classical definitions, there aren't any vampires, and we don't embrace evil, but in today's world there are many people who romanticize the vampire myths, and act out certain aspects. Not necessarily because it is evil either, it just captivates the imagination of some people. It is my opinion too, that such things are outside of healthy human activities, but we should also consider that there can be many innocent and even good motives leading someone to unhealthy or even bad activities. The yearning for the mystical can be a very strong impulse, with its healthiest expression in worship of the One True God. But when people feel the mystical/spiritual missing, and don't get it from religion; they may get it from cults, or even drugs, and possibly vampirism.

One thing for certain, someone drawn to the Faith, may come from a bad human condition. But if they are drawn to Baha'u'llah, there is something special and wonderful about them, and I am sure you are aware of the power of Baha'u'llah to transmute men of mere copper into men of Gold!

"The only difference between members of the human family is that of degree. Some are like children who are ignorant, and must be educated until they arrive at maturity. Some are like the sick and must be treated with tenderness and care. None are bad or evil! We must not be repelled by these poor children. We must treat them with great kindness, teaching the ignorant and tenderly nursing the sick." (Abdu'l-Baha, Paris Talks, p. 138)

wishing you all the best,

Loren
