You are absolutely right. As a life long skeptic who found the Faith 7 years ago and embraced it, I have found that questioning should not only be permitted, it is actually encouraged in the writings. A true Cause of God is not threatened by reasonable skepticism. In fact, when my personal convictions about the Faith withstand the test of questioning, they grow stronger, not weaker, and faith then can become certitude.

That is what is so beautiful about Baha'u'llah's teaching that we, as Baha'is, are free to investigate any other religious belief system we desire to, and if we find a beleif that mekes more sense to us, we are free to embrace it if we so choose. Baha'u'llah did not insist on blind acceptance of His claims; on the contrary, He spoke out AGAINST blind acceptance of His claims.

Now, I am the one who can say, "Isn't that great?" Baha'u'llah does not say that when we are wrong we are still right, but He does say that when we are wrong, we are free, by His command, to be wrong. And if we are not wrong, then that is all the much better, because to be right is one thing, but to be right by our own free will is ten times better.

So question! Baha'u'llah demands it!

Baha'i Love,
Allen
