One of my Baha'i friends was recently chastised for referring to the Kitab-i-Aqdas as the Kitab, an innocent but incorrect shortening of the full title. There are thousands of entries in the writings of Guardian, UHJ and Abdu'l Baha where the name of the Most Holy Book is shortened to "Aqdas".

Hither, my friend hopes he will be permitted to use "Aqdas" and is surprised that his critic, while dispermitting "Kitab", did not at the same time indicate that "Aqdas" is the permissible term.
