I have heard of this as well. If I recall I read somewhere that Baha'u'llah was asked how the world would turn to the Baha'i Faith and He said that people would look for what had been the source of the worlds problems and blame it on religion. After a while they would realise that man cannot live without religion and turn to the Faith. I may have read this is Revelation of Baha'u'llah probably either vols 2 or 3.
