Ninteenth and Twentieth Sessions
October 9-12,

Louhelen Baha'i School, Michigan, USA
The English-language
Irfan Colloquium and Seminar will be held October
9-12, 1998 at the
Louhelen Baha'i School. This is the same weekend
that Louhelen will
host the Persian-language Irfan Colloquium and
Seminar. The
English-language programs were previously planned for
November 6-8,
but were rescheduled to allow people to attend either
the English or
Persian-language programs at once.
The English and Persian Irfan
Colloquia for 1998 will focus on the
world religions in Baha'i
perspective. The English and Persian Irfan
Seminars will focus on the
revelation of Baha'u'llah during the
Istanbul and Adrianople periods
(1863-68). They will examine a number
of important writings of
Baha'u'llah such as Surih-yi- Ghusn, many of
the tablets addressed to
the kings, the two tablets of Ahmad (Arabic
and Persian), the
Mathnavi-yi Mu barak, the Tablet of the Celestial
Nightingale, and the
Kitab-i-Badi (Baha'u'llah's response to the
questions raised by some
Babis). In addition, the tablets of Naqus,
Sarraj, Tuqa, Ashraf,
Salman, Nuqtih, Zibh, and Vidad will be
discussed in connection with
Baha'i concepts of Divinity and
Manifestation.
Presentations will
be made by Moeen Afnani, Iraj Ayman, Tal'at
Bassari, Ted Brownstein,
Iskandar Ha'i, Chris Jones, Moojan Khadem,
Ruhullah Khushbin, Parivash
Samand ari, Sohrab Kourosh, Azar Movagh,
Behrooz Sabet, Nader Saiedi,
and Robert Stockman.
