INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE

We invite all those interested to participate in this yearâs meeting of the Religious Studies Special Interest Group as a part of the Annual Meeting of the Association for Bahá'í Studies. The agenda will include an informal colloquium to address the pressing issues and needs in our various fields of endeavor. Historically, this interest group has hosted a seminar that included well prepared papers and presentations of research, works in progress, and thoughtful consideration of topics dealing with theology, mysticism, history of religions, literature, etc. by both recognized and developing scholars in the Bahá'í community. This yearâs meeting will be open to concerned people of all faiths and beliefs. It aims at developing a stronger network of support among interested scholars and students and provides an opportunity for discussion of the concerns and needs in our various areas of work and interest It will focus on religious themes in general with emphasis Bahá'í principles, history, belief, and practice. Such a discussion will aim at enhancing our application of spiritual principles to the needs of our communities, in our workplace, and in our educational institutions. In our discussion we will focus on the stated goals of the Four-Year Plan of the Bahá'í community for the ongoing advancement of human civilization, the search for justice, peace, and equity at home and around the world, and the crying need to develop human resources for this noble Cause.
