: I have not been a Baha'i for very long and, up until now I had the impression that it is not permissible/desireable for Baha'is to try to find photos of Baha'u'llah. Is there anyone that can clarify this question for me? Mike
Mike: Since it is over a month post your posting I imagine your query has already been well answered; but since it is still there, and since I have just found this site, please accept my own 3.765 cents: Yes, it has been the official position of the Faith that photos of Baha'u'llah should not be disseminated. It is in the "Ocean of His words...." that we are to "Immerse" ourselves. The image of His son, Abdu'l-Baha, fills the role that such imagery plays in the Faith. A photo of Baha'u'llah does exist, and may be viewd by pilgrims to the holy land. I have a devoted Baha'i friend who did see this image while on pilgrimage some years ago and because of his impression harbor a desire to view it myself, if possible, while yet in the world of being.
