Notes | This compilation includes quotations of 'Abdu'l-Bahá encouraging a special weekly meeting where the adults are to gather the youths and teach them the proofs, history, and to recite the Writings, and so on, in preparation for teaching (These "spiritual meetings" were precursors to, foretold, or perhaps are in the future to be specialized versions of, the training institute). The guidance, while often pertaining specifically for youth, is also often enjoined for believers in general.
The guidance draws heavily from two compilations, The Importance of Deepening Our Knowledge and Understanding of the Faith and Bahá'í Meetings, but arranges them, instead of by author, by subject, book, or whether the activity is general encouragement for a type of study or is a specification for the holding of a type of study to be held in conjunction with others in meetings. It also includes quotations dealing with possible outcomes of the activity or enjoining specific teaching activities that relate to the content being encouraged for study in that section of the compilation.
