About: This article is based on a talk given in a conference arranged by the department of history at the University of Bochum and Armenian scholars from the University of Eriwan. It is about Ihsanullah Khán Dustdar, a Bahai commander of the Persian Red Army who, in 1920-1921 landed at the head of his revolutionary Persian Forces on the southern shores of the Caspian to establish the Socialist Soviet Republic of Iran. Ihsanullah had the full support of Abdu'l-Bahá whom he had consulted and received from him a tablet saying "He is God, oh Ihsanullah, oh keeper of God's sheep and oh Solomon-like executioner: Wish whatever you wish and do whatever you wish to do." (هو الله, ای احسان الله ای حافظ اغنام وای میر غضب سلیمانی هرچه میخواهی بخواه وهرچه میکنی بکن عبد البهاء عباس ). This tablet was known by heart by old Iranian Bahais. It was dictated to the author by Mr. Novin Dustdar, publisher of One World, Oxford, in the mid 1990s. This tablet was not included in the article.
