About: In response to the growing need for spiritual solutions to environmental problems throughout the world, many scholars are investigating and promoting various metaphysical and philosophical approaches. The result is the burgeoning field of environmental ethics. By setting the discussion in the context of the Baha’i writings related to nature, this article contributes to environmental ethics by highlighting the common ground among several perspectives and discussing six principles that unite them. The author proposes "unity in diversity" as a conceptual framework for devising a global ethic of environmental sustainability.
