Applying Christian Prophecy to Baha'u'llah

by William Sears

2010
Abstract (from archive.org): This is an audio-only version of the 6-part video series of the same name, also available on the Internet Archive [link unknown]. In this series, the late William Sears leads a discussion of the Bahá'í interpretation of Biblical prophecies. Citing Old and New Testament promises from the Holy Bible, Sears demonstrates how clearly the Christian Scriptures directly relate to the claim and mission of Bahá'u'lláh. Sears demonstrates how Christian, Jewish and other world religions' prophecies point to Bahá'u'lláh as the promised universal Figure foretold by Jesus Christ. Christians should be assured that the Bahá'í teachings uphold and revere the divine station of Christ, and should gain an understanding of how Christ's promises are fulfilled in the Revelation of Bahá'u'lláh. Sears also relates how the same attitudes and interpretations of the scribes and Pharisees of Christ's time mirror many contemporary religious leader's consideration of Bahá'u'lláh as the Promised One. Sears is the author of the groundbreaking book on Christian prophecy Thief in the Night.
