EXTRACTS PROM SHOGHI EFFENDI'S LETTERS

TO RUTH J. MOFFETT AND ROBERT LEE MOFFETT

February 29, 1928, Haifa.

". . . He appreciates especially the assurance of your devotion to and loving services for the Cause. As a member of the National Teaching Committee, you carry great responsibility in arranging ways and means to make the Cause more felt and better known throughout the length and breadth of your mighty continent. We have indeed hardly as yet scratched the surface; there still remain endless strata underneath to whom the Cause is as yet absolutely unknown, if not unknowable.

It is gratifying to our dear Guardian to receive such good news about New York and Chicago. Ho does wish that this timely outburst of enthusiasm and unity may become universal in America and the friends may learn to realize more and more the urgency, the indispensable need of a thorough understanding, of noble enthusiasm and of unity of purpose and action. . .

In connection with the two versions of the Tablet of Ahmad, our Guardian feels that the more correct one is the last one done by Dr. Esselmont and corrected by Shoghi Effendi. You might make that known to the friends."

Your true brother,

Shoghi.
