Excerpt from letter from Guardian to Mildred Mottahedeh


Now that the war is blazing in all its fury, the only service the Baha’is can render, as a body, of a concrete nature is to try and perfect themselves and their institutions in the Faith, and do all in their power to spread its knowledge, and holdup the light of its example, among as many people as possible. This is the time to broadcast the teachings and the name of the Faith far and wide, so that in the present days, and those to come, the people will know that such a belief, embodying such laws and principles, exists for their aid and their salvation . . .
